Forensic Architecture (FA) is a research agency hosted within the School of Art and legally represented by Goldsmiths’ College (also known as Goldsmiths, University of London). As a hosted research agency, FA adheres to all of the College’s regulations, including those relating to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

FA is committed to the highest ethical and governance standards in all aspects of our work – across research, procurement, and partnerships. Guided by Goldsmiths’ Modern Slavery Statement we maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.

Key commitments include:
Due Diligence: Ensuring ethical practices in our hiring, income receipt, procurement and contracting processes – especially in investigations, consultancy, digital services, or production.

Awareness and Training: Working with Goldsmiths’ legal, governance, and procurement teams to raise awareness among staff about the indicators and risks of modern slavery. Accountability: Regularly reviewing our internal policies and supply chains to prevent exploitation and promptly addressing concerns or allegations.

Human Rights-Centred Focus: Aligned with our mission to investigate human rights violations, we remain vigilant across our operations and supply chains to identify and address any form of forced labour or human trafficking that contributes to systemic harm. This statement reaffirms our commitment to supporting the pursuit of justice, dignity, and accountability, not only in the cases we investigate, but in the ways we operate.

Organisational Structure

Within Goldsmiths, the Executive Board is responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative leadership of the university. They report to and are supported by the governing body of the College, the Council.

FA is based within the School of Art and supported by the Head of School in our practices.

Within FA, the Management Team is responsible for ensuring the academic and administrative leadership of the agency. Alongside the Director, the three Assistant Directors of Operations, Research and Communications are responsible for ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. They are supported by FA’s Leadership Team.
