Natalia Sliwinska
Natalia Sliwinska is a research-based designer and filmmaker. At Forensic Architecture, she works on developing the technique of situated testimony and supports the production and post-production of audio-visual works.
Her independent practice engages with counter-archiving methodologies, with a particular focus on botanical archives. Her most recent film interrogates the supposed neutrality of Linnaean taxonomy by tracing the colonial history of the Panama hat plant. She is currently developing a research project in collaboration with Kew Gardens in London.
Natalia’s work has been exhibited at Stroom, Waag Futurelab, and Het Nieuwe Instituut in the Netherlands. She joined Forensic Architecture in 2022, after completing a Master’s in Non-Linear Narrative at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
