Architecture does not exist in a vacuum, but is embedded in a larger territory that is essentially defined by political and economic agendas. The “architecture” of this territory is largely designed without architects. Nevertheless, or precisely for this reason, architects today are increasingly investigating the processes that shape these territorial spaces. In the exhibition “Under the Radar”, S AM presents striking signs of this international research work. Each of the contributions demonstrates, in its own way, that architecture is not limited to the construction of houses, but also includes spatial analysis of the territory in which architecture emerges.
